Dwarf

Dwarves are shorter and stockier than humans, and known for their foul temper
and great stamina.  Dwarves have high strength and constitution with poorer
dexterity.  They are not as "intelligent" as humans, but they are usually much wiser 
due to their long life-spans.  Dwarves make excellent fighters and priests,
but are usually less able as mages or thieves.

    Dwarves are very resistant to poison and disease, but they cannot swim
very well, and so are somewhat vulnerable to drowning.  Dwarven warriors
receive the BERSERK skill for free and can see in the dark with permanent
'INFRAVISION.'
